Full day with Captain Robert Varik

Half Day Trip (5AM)

Got on the water with Captain Rob and my dad bright and early at 530am. We worked the south and west shore most of the day as well as Emerald Bay. Rob had all the right gear to put us on non stop action. We probably had bites every 30 mins. Most of the action going to lake trout, we did manage a few nice browns as well. Rob was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe and knows the lake like the back of his hand. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a charter on Lake Tahoe whether it be fishing or just a cruise. Super knowledgeable and personable Captain, was a pleasure fishing with him!

    Limited out on Kokanee salmon

    Fun time out fishing with Captain Rob. He was quite knowledgeable and quite willing to educate us on fishing for salmon since this was our first trip out on Lake Tahoe. The only letdown was due to our over expectation on how big the salmon were going to be since we only caught 2 year old silver salmon and after viewing all the pictures in the charter advertizments of people holding large lake and brown trout. Next time we will request a few hours of trout fishing mixed in with the salmon trolling.

    First Fish On Lake Tahoe

    Half Day Trip (11AM) • 4 adults

    First time out on the waters and fishing. We’ve visited multiple times and have done hikes and walked around the area. Captain Rob was awesome. Got is set up quickly, caught 2 lake trout and a kokanee. He even dropped us off at a spot in emerald bay so we could do a quick sightseeing while he filleted our fish.

    Rob was awesome - so chill, friendly, knowledgeable. we had such a great time woth Rob. We were worried about a midday trip in terms of fishing success, but we caught 8 fish in 5 hours! Definitely booking with him again next time we come to Tahoe. Absolutely a trip for the family memory bank.
