The first trip our captain was more interested in whale watching than fishing. We finally caught 4 halibut after numerous entanglements because of the boat drifting back and forth. We then spent 2 hours trolling for salmon but did not catch a one. We went back with 4 halibut. The next trip or captain was more of a fisherman. Thank you for letting me know that we could of done better. We use to have a King Salmon derby the month if May and lots of Kings. We could keep 2 per day but the last 10 years it’s been slow with the Kings with all of South East restricted to no retention until after the King run, season opens June 15. The restrictions should pay off in the long run. We just need to keep trying to do the best we can, we have a great Coho run that starts mid July and runs to October, we have beautiful water... More

We knew we were attempting to fish at an extremely early time. We were not able to find fish, but we saw many whales and had a great experience with eagles. Captain John and Carven were great, friendly, and tried to make the best of the trip and lack of fish. My husband and I had a great time.

We caught our limit on Halibut. We also saw Orcas, which was really fun. We did not catch any Salmon, but it was the opening of the season. Everything was very organized, our pickup/drop off and shipping of fish were arranged. We would definitely recommend.
