My friend and I had never fished before. We both caught 3 salmon out of the Russian river, a total of 6 fish (18.6 lbs of filet). Dylan and Ron are great guides and I’d recommend to anyone (beginners or above).

We ended up throwing an audible at the last second. We decided to go chase sockeye salmon and it was intense! Ended up catching our limit! We fished with Dylan on this trip and it felt like fishing with an old friend from the get go. Great experience. Great guides. Could not recommend this any more highly.

Ron teaches you how to fish salmon. He taught us how to flyfish, which ended up with us catching a sockeye salmon fully independently. If you prefer, he can also hook salmon for you and let you reel them in. Two areas to improve would be equipment—his smallest hip waders were too big and had holes. He also didn’t tell us to bring a belt to use hip waders, so the other participants also ended up soaked. And you need to pay in cash

Ron and Dylan were wonderful.  They took us right to the spots where fish were located.  We caught some nice trout.  There was a lot of salmon too.  I highly recommend floating the Kenai with Ron
