Had a good trip overall but the catching was very tough. We caught 3 golden dorado. Although advertised as a full day trip, this really only included about four hours of fishing due to the travel time from hotel to marina (about an hour each way) and an hour each way of running the boat to fishing grounds. Apparently this was the first day the operation used this boat and captain. Captain didn’t speak English, but they provided a translator which we were grateful for. I did get to practice what little Spanish I know.

Our captain was so knowledgeable and helpful and kind. We enjoyed every minute!

Coming from the USA, we didn’t know what to expect when fishing the Rio Plata in Buenos Aires. But from the start we had an amazing experience! Firstly, we were picked up and dropped off from our Hotel in downtown Buenos Aires, then we enjoyed some breakfast and coffee on Captain Javier’s boat. Pablo was his first mate who spoke perfect English, making the entire trip very pleasant without communication issues. We caught a lot of fish, even though it wasn’t the “best” time of the year for fishing. Mostly caught catfish but caught two small golden dorado’s, about 1-2 kgs each. Then lunch was served, meat and cheese sandwiches, sodas and water, chips and a good time. We caught about 15 fish in total making for a wonderful and fun fishing trip! Oh and the price was very reasonable.

We didn’t catch many fish unfortunately but the captain was very lovely and explained the different types of fish that lived in the river. The team went above and beyond and provided a translator as we weren’t fluent in Spanish and even gave us a birthday cake for my husband. Great day out

Excellent guide, knows it all, relaxed and with perfect bbq expertise also. Most of all, some great fish.
