Rainy day, great results

Full Day Trip (AM)

We had the opportunity to go on an early morning trip with Captain Mike. It was cool and rainy that morning but the fish were biting. We had a great experience. Mike and the crew had everything ready and prepped. Safety and comfort were obvious priority throughout the trip. My wife and I were not prepared for the weather and he had rain gear for us. We were comfortable though inside the cabin while we were waiting to fish. It did not take long for him to put us on the fish. My wife was a beginner and got excellent coaching on how to handle the Rod. We landed plenty of fish and dreams came true that day. I won’t go out on any other boat from now on. Captain, Mike gets my highest recommendation. Book a trip soon.! You won’t be disappointed with the experience.

    Great Morning trip

    If you’re looking for a great fishing charter, I can’t recommend Mike’s Fishing Charter enough. Mike was an outstanding captain, and his first mate, Holden, was fantastic as well. We got off to an unbelievable start, hooking four fish at the same time within the first 10 minutes. From there, the action was nonstop all day until we caught our limits. It was one of the best fishing trips I’ve ever been on. Mike’s boat is in excellent condition, clean, comfortable, and equipped with all the basic amenities you’d need for a full day on the water. What really sets Mike apart, though, is how thoughtful and personable he is. He makes everyone feel involved, explains what he’s seeing on the water, and keeps you informed about the fishing tactics and why he’s making certain decisions. It makes the experience much more enjoyable and educational. Between the incredible fishing, the professionalism of Mike and Holden, and the overall experience, I wouldn’t book with anyone else. I’ll be using Mike every time I go on a charter and would recommend him to anyone looking for a first-class trip.

    great trip, tough day of fishing

    arrived on time and the captain was fully ready to head out. got on fish right away and had a few more throughout the day. it was a tough day of fishing. Captain Mike was constantly changing lures, changing depth, and marking fish. We still brought home a decent catch. Captain Mike has a clear and obvious love for what he does and knows the lake as well as anyone. highly recommend using MJ charters.

    Great time on the water

    Half Day Trip (PM) • 6 adults • 2 children

    Fishing was a bit slow but weather is something we have no control of! Capt Mike and his first mate was great I would recommend them and would go again in a heart beat!! We managed 4 fish in the heat wave so not a total bust. All the kids got a fish and were happy! Thanks Mike and see you again next year!

    A wonderful experience!

    Captain Mike and crew were excellent in every respect—attentive, knowledgeable, patient—and Mike is a fine teacher without overburdening novices. The boat could not have been more comfortable.
