  Amazing FISHING charter experience!

  Am Half Day Trip on April 4, 2026 • 5 adults • 1 child

  This was our first charter fishing trip, and it exceeded every expectation. We had an incredible day on Lake Conroe and limited out on hybrid striped bass within the first hour, which really speaks to his knowledge of the lake and ability to time it right. We then went to fish catfish which was another hit. We made it out with a full ice chest. He knows exactly where to go and when—it’s not luck, it’s experience. If you’re considering booking, trust him and follow his lead. He was also great with our 12-year-old son—engaging, patient, and made the whole experience fun and easy from start to finish. Watching him clean the fish was definitely a memorable moment 😅 Highly recommend. We’ll absolutely be back.

  Really glad we booked this fishing trip with James. It was a group of 4 of us, including my father, 8 year old son and wife. We all had great catches and overall really enjoyed our time on the water. James is a fantastic guide. He made every effort to ensure we got a good amount of fish and went above and beyond by cleaning, filleting and bagging all the fish we caught. He really helped make this a wonderful family memory. We already can’t wait to go back and when we do, we will absolutely be booking with James again.

  We've caught more fish today than we ever had in one day

  Am hybrid striped bass trip on August 6, 2026 • 4 adults

  My son, his childhood friend and myself had the best time fishing on Lake Conroe today with Captain James Macik. Captain James is a very nice person, a knowledgeable guide, and does just about everything for you, he even cleaned the fish, which came to be about 30. I think we caught double that amount but couldn't keep them. If you want a great fishing experience on Lake Conroe, go see Captain James Macik at Fish Head Water Sports. You won't be disappointed.

  First Time Fisherman’s Best Friend!

  Am or Pm catfish trip your choice on April 19, 2026 • 5 adults • 2 children

  This was my six year old son’s first fishing trip. Captain James had us catching fish but even more important, it was a great experience for my son. Captain James was super patient, had great banter and taught my son a ton! I can’t wait until we can head back out with Captain James! One thing to keep in mind, if you are booking for Sunday, there is a weekly tournament that launches from the same marina so there can be a little traffic.

  fantastic experience

  I highly recommend Fish Head Water Sports for a great time on the lake. James is a friendly, full of knowledge and fun! We caught two great hybrids early on but then the fish decided to be a challenge. He pivoted trying several different spots and tactics until we finally settled for catfish which was a great time. He cleaned them up and now I have tons of fish for the freezer. I hope I get to come back!
