My Grandson and I had a great time fishing with Captain Ray.  We had basically used close face reels, but Captain Ray was very patients and instructed us on how to use the open face reel and how to cast.  It didn’t take but a few minutes and my Grandson had his first fish.  I would recommend Captain Ray as a guide if you’re looking for a great experience!

Power lines down couldn’t go where we plan.  Captain Ray suggested a couple of possibles.  Caught a few bass.  The sun wouldn’t stay out.  When it was out we were getting hits. All in all it was a good day.

Booked a last minute trip with Ray for myself, hubby and son.  We had a great day.  Learned a lot and caught some striped bass.  Can’t ask for better.  Highly recommend Ray!

Ray, is by far the best guide I’ve ever fished with! His knowledge and personality. You just can’t make the experience up. Hands down the best guide.

My son and his best friend took this outing alone.  When they returned to the marina they seemed Solomon but looks were deceiving as they had only great things to say about their trip.  My only bad thing was absolutely no photos were taken, even when my son had what was believed to be record breaking Guatalupe Bass.  But it wasn’t due to the host not trying, my son thought it was too small and threw it back before finding out they’re small fish in comparison to the 13lb-ers he’s used to catching of the large mouth variety.  Both the 14 year Olds learned new and helpful ways of baiting fish and loved their trip.  This isn’t an easy review to get from my son, he’s always acting like he’s never impressed by anything BUT yesterday with Ray he was very impressed and is already begging to go again.
