When we checked in together the day before, Devin highly recommended live bait, albeit at an additional cost. What a great plan it turned out to be. His morning trip had little luck as they did not opt for live bait. On our afternoon trip was a success. 2.5 hours we caught 8 bass and a Florida Gar. We kept two bass, released 2 small and 4 large (over 16”). We would have landed more but I still need to hone my hook setting skills for Large Mouth. I estimate I lost 4 and let a very large bass get into the reeds. I have kept Devin’s number in my phone for next time. Highly recommend.

Decided on a bass fishing trip for Spring Break. Unfortunate for us, we went out the day after a cold front came through. The wind was tough, but our Capt, Capt John, knew where the fish were, what they were biting, and we had a blast. We caught nice sized fish when most people were not catching any. My son said afterwards it was the best Bass trip he has had and glad we braved the wind.

The trip was amazing, Super Captain Michael got all the bait we needed on short notice. He knew all the good places on the lake with beautiful views. He was Incredibly sociable and nice to talk to, made the slower moments of the trip a blast with fun conversation. The boat was a beautiful well kept vessel and he even had amazing equipment. 10/10 would absolutely book again, and request another charter from Super Captain Michael when I’m back in Florida.
