Very flexible, great with kids

Half Day Trip (PM) – Lake Michigan4 adults2 children

Great communication from the owner pre-trip. The captain let us know the water was very rough before we boarded and offered to take us out past the pier to see first hand before we had to decide whether to cancel or continue. We turned around 30 seconds into the big waves and decided to pivot to a sheepshead fishing excursion on the smaller lake. We had a great time, caught some nice sized fish and our 8 year old kids had a blast. Captain and First Mate were both great with the kids. Would definitely recommend Powderhorn to others.

    Our fishing trip with Tim at Lake Michigan was an awesome experience! When we arrived, the weather wasn’t looking great — the water was choppy, and there were some waves. Tim was very honest and professional about the situation. He carefully assessed the conditions, explained that it was safe to go out, but still gave us the option to cancel with a full refund if we weren’t comfortable. We decided to go, and it turned out to be the right choice — the weather cleared up, and we ended up catching six good fish despite the tough conditions. Tim was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone had a great time on the water. Highly recommend this trip!

    Full Day Trip – Lake Michigan • 4 adults

    I took my in-laws and pregnant wife out with Captain Nate and Randy for a full 7hr day. It was awesome! They did not hesitate to share knowledge, and they worked their ass off to make sure we had fish. Nate is one of the captains that is constantly on the water, so I highly recommend asking for Captain Nate and Randy with Powderhorn Fishing

    outstanding trip

    Half Day Trip (AM) – Lake Michigan • 4 adults

    we went out with Captain Nate and Ethan. Both were great. we hit fish almost immediately and had 4 within an hour or so and ended up with 9 total. they worked hard to keep us on fish all trip. we got our last one in the last 15 min of fishing so it was perfect. they made it very easy for us. they were enjoyable to hang out with for the 5 hrs of our trip. definitely recommend. thank you!

    Lots of fun

    Half Day Trip – Lake Macatawa • 2 adults

    I went out fishing twice in a row. On the first day, we went to Lake Macatawa and caught over 20 sheepshead, also known as freshwater drum. On the second day, we went to Lake Michigan and caught five King Salmon. The staff was very hardworking and knowledgeable, and I highly recommend their services.
