My experience with Captain Tim was exceptional. He saw to our every need and best of all, we caught fish! Conditions were tough and based on the boats we could see around us we were by far catching more fish. Of which (despite the conditions) our group caught 5 massive striper (no other boat caught any at all) and a whole mess of sand bass. We also caught numerous smaller stripers which were thrown back and funnily enough quite a few drum whi h became something of a hilarious joke every time we pulled one in. I’d like to credit our catches and wonderful experience to Captain Tim’s exceptional knowledge of the lake, his modern electronics well equipped boat/tackle and most of all the effort he took to procure bait before our trip even began. Please give Captain Tim a chance next time you want to fish lake Whitney. The effort he puts into his work will blow your mind. You can’t go wrong.

We had an amazing experience with Gone Fishin’ Guide Service! Tim was incredibly knowledgeable about the lake and clearly has great connections, which made a big difference in our trip. You could tell he really knows his stuff and stays on top of where the fish are biting.

When the stripers weren’t cooperating, he quickly adjusted the plan and took us over to target sand bass instead and that move paid off right away. We got into a ton of fish and had constant action.

Overall, it was a fantastic day on the water with a captain who is professional, adaptable, and genuinely committed to making sure you have a great time. Highly recommend!

We had a awesome trip with Tim Mccarthy.  Tim worked very hard to locate the fish. He was very polite and very attentive to us. We were two female friends just fishing and enjoying time on the water. What a beautiful day on the water with Tim. Will definitely return again.
