Not to long ago my father passed away and one of the things he taught me and my sister was the joy of fishing. Jamie came down from Wisconsin and we set out on a “Memorial Fishing Trip”. Capt. Roland was an awesome guide. He was ready to go on time, had all the gear and bait we needed and let us know the plan up front so we could drop as soon as we hit the spot. We went out on an eight hour trip that seemed to go much faster because we were pulling in so many fish! I know the guide can’t guarantee fish, but his attitude made it seem like the fish just knew to come to his boat. He even got me and my nephew some sharks. For a couple of folks from Wisconsin it was the perfect way to honor the fishing spirit taught by my dad and make some new memories along the way. I would highly recommend Capt. Roland and can’t wait to turn this into an annual event.

Great communication leading up to the trip! I booked for my sons 13th birthday and Captain Roland did not disappoint. He made the most of our four hour charter. We caught Lane Snapper, Sheepshead, Drum, and Trout. Seven of those fish were keepers, which he fileted and bagged for us at the end.

Captain Roland was great about keeping our hooks baited and getting our lines unstuck to maximize time on the water. He was GREAT with kids. I think he has a sixth sense for when fish are biting so if you are like me and need some guidance, book with Captain Roland! My good friend and I went out with Captain Roland for a 3/4 day trip out of Jacksonville, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The weather was nice, the captain was knowledgeable and easy to talk to, and he put us right on the fish. We caught a nice mix of sheepshead and trout, and even hooked a redfish that was just a little too small to keep. When the trip was over the captain filleted our catch. I look forward to fishing with Captain Roland again
