Captain Trent was knowledgeable and taught us how to catch the fish we were looking for. All of us had a great time learning what makes the fish bite and how to hook them. Captain Trent was friendly, punctual, and open to conversation and teaching. A highly regarded and trustworthy veteran of Lake Erie.
Trent is a great captain! He was patient with my 4 kids on their first time fishing off a boat. He was a great teacher and super funny! We requested to cast in the beginning He warned us that we possibly wouldn't catch as many fish. It started out real good then slowed down getting bites he worked his tail off in the last hour trolling trying to get us our limit! We probably would have if we would have reeled in all the ones that got off! I definitely recommend Trent to anyone who wants a laid back yet productive day on the water!
I have been a several dozen charters large and small; I have found the difference between a good Capt. and a great Capt. is the details. We had tough conditions, and the fish didn't jump in the boat (AKA fishing.) We found a color pattern that out fished the others. He switched up some tackle to optimize our set. He felt a better bite may have been shallower than the rest of the fleet was fishing so we made an 8 mile move to new ground. Good call, as we immediately picked up fish on the first pass and by our third pass, we filled the boat for our 2-man limit. The bite was not only stronger but held a better-quality fish with 24 and 27" fish over the rail. One of the fish things I do on a new boat is to check leaders and hooks to make sure they are not brittle and dull. None of that on this boat, as everything was new and top condition. I am looking forward to my next trip with Captain Trent Lee in April of next year. Should I make it back to his area this November I'll take on the elements to get back on the water with him. I have two other guides thus far across the United States that I will rebook without hesitation, it's nice to know I can add eye 2 eye to the list.
Captain Trent took my wife, my father in law, mother in law and my self on a half day charter on 04/11/2024. My family paid for the charter as a birthday gift. We had a blast, we were limited out in 2.5 hours of fishing. Trent knew how to put us on big fish and was fun and entertaining The whole trip. When we pulled back into the dock he quickly cleaned all our fish and had us packed up. I’ve been on 35-40 charters in my life anll over the world and this was by far 1 of the best I’ve been on. If you’re considering taking him up on a charter you will not regret it. I will be returning soon for another charter or 2 soon. Thank you Captain Trent for a great charter on my birthday!

Captain Trent was great!! This was my sons first organized fishing trip as well as his birthday present. Captain Trent was great teaching my son how to properly reel in fish as well as watching for signs while trolling as to when the fish were about to get hooked. My son couldn’t stop thanking me about the trip and he can’t wait to do it again.
Captain Trent is awesome!! He made arrangements to pick my dad and I up from Kelley’s Island which was very kind. The weather was certainly iffy but Captain Trent took us to a calm area and we killed ‘em! My dad landed a personal best 8lb walleye and we dropped a couple other nice fish. Overall an awesome day and certainly will be back.
