For my money there is no better boat to go fishing with in Mazatlan than with Pepe’s Fleet.  This was our second year going out with them and we had a great time again. While we didn’t get a Marlin this time we landed a couple of nice tuna.  Also saw a pod of 150 dolphins that put on a great show around the boat. The boat is great, 2 good fishing chairs to enjoy the day in and reel in your fish.  Jose and Georgina are great with communication, provided free transportation to/from the hotel, and included lunch and beers too.  And the boat captain Guillermo will always find the fish. Just book it!! 😀👍🐬🐟

Booked with Tiger Shark and Captain Raphael.  I arrived in the morning for him waiting for me at the boat and we were off! This boat rips through water like a hot knife through butter! About am hour into the trip we bumped into some Sailfish feeding, but were unable to get their interest. Undeterred Raphael was determined to find fish and myself and him kept scanning the water for any activity. Well a couple hours later the water exploded and a fish was on, with reel screaming. About a 30min fight later I landed in what Captain Raphael said in broken English “Trophy Sailfish”. Got the fish into the boat, and he quickly went to work and started setting up fresh bait.

About an our later, BAM!!! Reel screaming on one of the outer rod setups. This fish was not happy, the acrobatics were amazing to watch. Another 20-25min fighter later,  fish #2 was onboard, this one another Trophy size and a tiny bit smaller than the first one.

This was my first time ever being on the ocean. I’m from Winnipeg, MB. Canada right in the middle of the country and have only seen the ocean. I realize I was very lucky that day with not only catching 1, but 2 Trophy sized Sailfish.

Great family ran business!  Supurb communication!  Punctual!  I stayed at El Cid El Moro and booked a trip for just myself, Gabriel picked me up at the hotel and drove me to the marina.  He was on time and explained everything on the way to the marina.  While dropping me backoff at the hotel he made some great restaurant suggestions and told me about the area.
The captain of my trip was Alfredo, he did a great job!  I didn’t catch any fish but wasnt for the lack of hustle from Alfredo.  He worked his hardest and we had several marlin strikes but did not have any hookup.  I am a guide back home and I know how stressful it is to try your hardest but it doesn’t always end in customer “success”.  It’s called “fishing” not “catching” for a reason!

I definitely will book again with them the next time I am in the area!

Across the board this waa a great fishing trip. We were picked up at our AirBnB, promptly at 6am as agreed. We sailed by 630. Guillermo captained us and Rafael was our our first mate. We caught fish, and got a short tour of the near coast islands. Fish were cleaned, we had a recommended place for prepping and we got a ride back to our place. A+  Thanks for a great day!

We came into Mazatlan via Cruise Ship and Georgina with Pepe’s Fleet picked us up and took us to their marina where we boarded with Captain Alfredo.  We got out of the harbor and headed out about 20 Kilometers (13 miles) where we started trolling for marlin.  I liked that the boat had plenty of power to make the trip out quickly so we didn’t waste too much time in transit.  We had great luck and landed 2 blue marlin (2 others threw the hook and got away).  After we got back, they carved off some large pieces of the meat and Georgina took us to a local restaurant where they prepared it for us 4 different ways.  Overall we liked the ceviche the best, but all the preparations were good.  We took a cab back to the ship, and were onboard with plenty of time to spare.  It was a good fishing trip and I would recommend it.
