San Diego Fly Fishing Charters

This charter targets light-tackle sport fish in the calm waters of San Diego Bay rather than offshore in the ocean. Species commonly targeted include halibut, spotted bass, calico bass, bonefish, and various smaller shark species.

We'll be fishing local kelp beds, reefs, wrecks, & rocky structure just outside the bays for a variety of species like Barracuda; Bass, Bonito, Lingcod, Mackerel, Rockfish, Skipjack, and Vermilion Rockfish, depending on the season and conditions.

Spend the morning fishing for Halibut, Spotted Bay Bass, Bonefish, and Shark in the calm waters of San Diego Bay. These trips are perfect for people who sometimes get seasick or aren't looking to spend the whole day at sea. Live bait is not included on these trips but can be purchased for an additional fee. Please note that the trip is primarily catch and release. Maximum 4 people per trip.

Passports required. Explore the waters around the Coronado Islands and target Yellowtail and a variety of Rockfish, Lingcod Whitefish, and Sculpin. Depending on conditions, this trip may take you a bit further west or south targeting Tuna species and Paddy Yellowtail. Add the visual beauty of the islands and the likelihood of seeing dolphins, seals, and whales, and you get a great adventure! Make sure to bring your passport as you'll be fishing Mexican waters.

Fish local areas for all Shark species. Conventional tackle or fly gear.

A 5-hour trip for conventional or fly fishing off the local coastline. Our highly experienced captains will jet you out to the local kelp beds and fishing hot spots. This is a great way to experience ocean fishing, learn some new techniques, and see the local wildlife. Opportunity to catch Halibut, White Seabass, Yellowtail, Calico Bass, Lingcod, Sculpin, Vermilion Rockfish, Leopard Shark, Sand Bass, Spotted Bass, Bonito, and other Rockfish species.

6:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Coastal fishing for Rockfish, Halibut, Yellowtail, and Bass.

A half day trip is the perfect trip for groups that want a relaxing, short outing on the water. Half day trips will fish anywhere from Point Loma to Del Mar, targeting everything that swims, but mostly Calico bass, rockfish and an occasional yellowtail or halibut. Water, coffee, and non-alcoholic beverages.

1/2 DAY (6 HOURS) BAY/INSHORE: Trips are for both fishing and spearfishing. Trip departure and return times are flexible. Friendly, and appropriate environment. Bring the whole family!
