If you are searching for a great classic Salmon fishing trip, then Chunky Monkey Charters has got you covered. Captain Jody Blain has years of experience, and along with his first mate, will make sure you have an unforgettable fishing adventure.
These trips are great for the whole family. Children are more than welcome on board, and Capt. Jody and his first mate will happily teach the little ones step by step how to fish. They know how important it is to pass the rod onto the next generation. The kids will have a great story to tell their friends after they fish with Capt. Jody.
You will target Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, and Steelhead. Any fish you catch within regulations can be kept. Capt. Jody will happily fillet your haul at the end of the trip. You only need to decide how to cook these delicious fish once you get home.
All rods, reels, and lures are provided. Please let Capt. Jody know if you are brand new to fishing – he will prepare live bait for you before you begin, to give you the best chance of hooking lots of fish.
All that's left to do now is grab your snacks, plenty of water, and fishing license for the day. Then you'll be ready to come and join Chunky Monkey Charters on the water for an unforgettable fishing experience.

Had a nice mixed bag of kings and coho. Was first time salmon fishing for my sons on this trip. Captain Jody and first mate Luke did a awesome job instructing kids how to bring them in. Fishing trip was best charter I have ever been on. They know where to go to put you on fish. I will use this charter service in the future. Fish on !

Came to the dock with 11 salmon and brought home 52 lbs of salmon filets. This was our first experience on Lake Michigan and couldn't have asked for a better day! Thanks for a memorable trip!

The boat was comfy and it was nice doing nothing more than just catching fish. Jigging season right around the corner. We’ll be back with Chunky Monkey again soon! Jody and Luke were awesome, friendly and willing to field all of our silly questions for 6 hours and show us the ropes in salmon fishing :) Their boat is very well stocked & equipped and they spent the entire time furiously hunting for more, our arms are still sore from hauling in all the giant king salmon. First time doing a salmon fishing charter and Jody gave us a great experience! We had a fish on before 6AM and landed some huge kings! I hope you have good arms because these fish will wear you out! Hoping to connect with Jody in April for walleye on Erie.
