Northeast Anglers is a fly fishing and light tackle guide service based out of Southern Rhode Island. Take a trip with Capt. Paul, who’s been fishing these waters for over 30 years. Explore the local flats, backcountry, inshore and offshore waters as never before.

Capt. Paul welcomes both beginners and experienced anglers. Fly fishing is generally considered to be an advanced technique but don’t let that stop you from coming. You’re off to a great start with an experienced guide by your side!

You’ll move around the fishing spots on a 23’ Jones Brothers center console that accommodates up to 3 anglers. This boat is perfect for 2 to 3 anglers or a solo trip.

You’re most likely to go after Striped Bass, Weakfish, False Albacore, Black Seabass, and Bonito You don’t have to stick to shallow water only and go to nearshore spots, where you’ll have the chance to target Bluefin Tuna and Mahi Mahi.

Feel free to bring your favorite fly rod, but know that the captain supplies everything if you have no gear or were not able to bring it. Your snacks and drinks are also covered. The captain prefers to catch and release but you can keep some fish for dinner and he’ll gladly clean it for you.

Capt. Paul would like to wish everyone a wonderful stay in Rhode Island, and Remember like a diamond ring great things can come in small packages. Spend a day fishing with us you will not regret it.

Great experience with a friendly and knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend!
Half Day Trip (AM) on August 20, 20263 adults

Captain Paul was awesome. His boat is comfortable. We caught a load of fish. He’s knowledgeable and easy to talk to and really conscientious. Great guy to spend time on the water with will definitely look him up for next time. Very family friendly, took my teenage son on board and he had a blast and Paul was great w him. I’m sure there’s other wonderful guides out there, but I won’t be calling on anyone but him in the future.

The Ripa group is finest kind. We warmed up with some bluefish and it worked into a great Bonito bite.

Perfect 4 hour trip
Half Day Trip (AM) on June 27, 20262 adults1 child

I really can not say enought about Captian Paul.... It shows how much of a passion he has for fishing, making his clients happy and his love for the water. Myself, my 15yo and my 7yo went out with Captian Paul at 4 a.m. he immediately, schools of striped bass. Everything I hoped would happen happend. I had proud dad syndrome watching white boys pull in 25 and 30 pound fish! Captian Paul was super kind and extremely generous to my children and the experience he could make this to be for them. We had a great time! I would truly so I recommend anyone and everyone with a smaller party to book a trip with Captain paul. I really can't say enough. Thank you Paul! We will see you again soon!!!!!!!!

Captain Paul Always Finds Fish
Half Day Trip (AM) on September 5, 20251 adult

I fish with a lot of professional guides (e.g., 9 different guides last year and 8 already this year) all over the country, freshwater and saltwater. Paul Triolo is one of my favorites. On a windy September day after the rain had cleared, I fished for false albacore this time. Instead, I caught 2 fighting bonitos by casting into areas with clusters of birds above the water, and 5 black sea bass while trolling. Even on a nasty weather day Paul still found fish. I have fished with Paul in 3 different years, and it would be a pleasure to fish with him again some day.

Northeast anglers is a small guide operation run by myself Capt. Paul Triolo . My career as a full time guide started in 1990 out of Shinecock NY , and eventually Montauk and Orient points. After my tour of duty as boat coxswain in the Coast guard I settled in Rhode island and started guiding in 2001. Rhode Island is a great fit for my light tackle style. It has a vast variety of fishing bays and inlets, as well as Block Island . As well as the Cape and the Islands.
