Make an adventure out of your next trip in Port O’Connor and go fishing with Back Bay Guide Service.
Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Tripletail, Flounder, and more can be found in these waters if you come at the right time of year. On these trips, it’s common to drift and bottom fish using light tackle.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Also remember to bring snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
Capt. Capt. Lynn operates a 24’ Bay boat that can carry up to 4 passengers and has all the essentials. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures.
You might need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It’s always wise to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now, time to hit the water with Back Bay Guide Service!

6 Hour Trip
Fishing in March can be unpredictable. This time was no exception. Wind had blown hard and we had lots of rain for several days before our scheduled trip. Capt. Smith thought the weather would settle and that he would find some fish, and he was right! We found a nice group of reds to test our rods. You couldn't ask for a better fishing guide.
