Salty Morada Charters 

This was our second trip with Captain Kevin and we had an awesome family fishing trip! Even though the mahi weren’t cooperating that day, Captain never gave up and worked hard to put us on fish. He took us to a reef where we ended up catching a ton of yellowtail snapper, and everyone had a blast. The first mate was absolutely fantastic, especially with our kids. He was patient, encouraging, and always there to help bait hooks, untangle lines, and celebrate every catch. He made sure the kids were involved and having fun the entire trip. You can tell this crew genuinely cares about giving their guests a great experience, no matter what the conditions are. We’d definitely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fun family fishing charter!

Captain Kevin and first Nate Scott were extremely helpful during the entire trip. Helped us fill the fis box with over 40+ yellowtail snapper before 10 AM and then we went out running and gunning formahi-mahi. Even though it was a little early in the season, he was still able to locate a few for us. very professional. Very friendly. Was even nice enough to loan us a electronic seasick watch that kept one of our anglers in the action the whole day. highly recommend if you’re in Tavener and want to catch Fish. This is the guy to go to without a doubt!!! Even cleaned our catch!

Capt Kevin and first mate, Derek Warner, absolutley killed it today. They were extremely friendly and professional from the moment we met at the dock until we returned. They clearly know the area well and were very engaging all day. It was my wifes first off shore trip and they delivered big time while exceeding all expectations. They worked hard all day and consistently kept moving to find the fish, which they delivered on. We finished the day with blistered hands and tired arms. we’ll be back to fish again with them soon.

BUCKET LIST STUFF!! My husband had a sailfish in his TO DO LIST!! BUCKET LIST CHECKED OFF!! so much fun!! The captain Kevin and his first maye were amazing!! so knowledgeable and kind and respectful. The captain kept us on the fish! He made a dream come true! Good music and a good time! Must let this captain take you on a trip!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!thanks for the fun day! it was so rough going out, but he warned us. We had scopolamine patches and that’s definitely the way to go!! SO MUCH FUN!

We went out in fairly rough seas for a half day trip but despite the chop came back with a boat full of mahi mahi. It took a minute to locate the fish. Once Captain Kevin put us on them it was virtually nonstop! He is an excellent captain, and first mate Chris kept our lines in the water and seaweed free. The bonus was getting them to bite on light tackle when we got into the schools. Really appreciate and recommend Salty Morada if you are looking for a great trip in Islamorada!

as we arrived it was on the edge of bad weather and not worth going out, but this was a fishing expedition with my son, so i wasn't easy to cancel. we went out and first stop was rough but cranking, second spot was a little hars to find and position so the third spot was the savior! we had a great time, we were close to limiting out, which considering the weather is saying something. my son loved it, hes an upcoming angler, and the captian was more than happy to talk to him about what to look for and how to step up for fish. Captain Kevin and first mate Scott were awesome.making his birthday fishing charter a success. thanks guys!!

My family of 4 booked a morning fishing trip with Captain Kevin on the Salty Morada. We appreciated that Capt Kevin contacted us a few days out and recommended we change dates to avoid some weather and waves he saw coming in on our reserved date (we took his recommendation!). Capt Kevin and his crew did an amazing job taking care of my family on this fishing trip (he and his crew were especially super patient and kind to my two boys). The boat was clean and ran well and they had stocked lots of tackle/bait. We fished for tuna first (caught 2), then switched to fishing for mahi mahi (caught 1), then ended by fishing for some yellowtail snapper on a reef (caught many, but only 2 big enough to keep). Capt Kevin then fileted the fish for us back at dock and packed it all up for cooking later! All and all it was an amazing time! if we are in the Keys again, we will definitely be booking with Capt Kevin!

it was a great reef fishing trip. we caught a good amount of fish and my boys had a great time. Captain Kevin was accommodating to my smaller boys first trip and gave some good pointers beforehand not to mention took us to some good spots. We caught yellowtail, mahogany, mangrove snappers and a few other types. Caught 1 mahi but it was too small to keep. Overall good experience.

Captain kevin dis a great job getting us right out to the fish and keeping us on them all trip long. we caught a box full of legal Mahi to take home. We couldnt have asked for a better trip. My wife, Daughter, son and myself all got wore out with the back go back action. Go ahead and book thr 6 hour offshore trip and you will not be sorry!

Capt Kevin and his first mate were great! The first spot they took us to was biting right away and we caught over 100 fish, with at least 30 keepers! They were both very helpful with the rods and bait as well as very pleasant to chat with. Plus, they cleaned and filleted all the fish for us to take home and cook for dinner. The boat was clean and well maintained and the rods were all in good shape. The trip was exactly what we were hoping for and we look forward to using them for future trips!
