Can’t say enough about the Captain and Crew of the Grand Slam.  We started the day trolling for mahi mahi and as soon as we found the patches of sargassum we started catching Mahi and it never really slowed down.  While not every day is like this, the captain and crew were experienced and knew how to make sure my kids were able to make the most of it.  In all we had 12 mahi and 1 barracuda and could have caught twice that but we wanted to snorkle.  We snotkled some great reefs while one of the mates showed us around before returning to the boat to make it back to our cruise ship in time.  I would definitely recommend these guys, but as with everywhere, always suggest 6hrs or more.  The 4 hour trips are never enough time.

Great experience.  Started a little slow, but after an hour or so, Victor and Augusto began putting us on fish.  They continuously worked the lines and spotted where fish were along with showing us what they were looking at.  We had to 40 plus pound Mahi that put on a display along with 3 other smaller Mahi and a blacking tuna.  The hotel grilled one of the tuna fillets for lunch and are awaiting Mahi for dinner.  This was the first trip with these guys and will definitely be more.  Picked us up at the hotel pier a few minutes early and began fishing al.ost immediately.  We had a little chop but the crew did the best they could with it amd supplied a memorable and fantastic day.  I live on the texas coast and fish often.  Thes guys did a great job and are highly recommended.

Captain and deck hand were awesome and attentive. Boat was perfect and as a bonus, the fish cooperated! They were working different water columns and color combinations until we got on them. My son, brother and nephew had a wonderful trip. They were flexible with ship’s port times and gave perfect instructions on how to get to / from the ship. Short story - book these guides!!!

So, this was the first time for my daughter who just turned 10 for this kind of fishing.
She was a little board and got a little uneasy when the larger waves came in. Though we only caught a couple barracudas and a needle fish when the fish were on I could see her excitement. It was our fault we turned around a little earlier before we got to some good red snapper spots. She is usually a very hands on fisher-lady so having them bait and cast she did not understand the concept of trolling which contributed to her being board at times.
The crew let her run a couple hooks through the bait and she learned it was harder then she thought the crew did very well with her being young.

Long story short not the most lucrative fish day but that is fishing. But we made memories she will have forever and it was worth it.
