These waters are known for Black Drum, Flounder, Redfish, Sheepshead, Speckled Trout, and more – with any luck, it won't take long to hook into some. During the trip you might be light tackle fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are also a good idea so that everyone stays happy and energized!

You'll be fishing aboard a 24' Triton bay boat with space for 6 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

A few items to bring include sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Bottled water will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks included on board.

We had an incredible time on our fishing trip with Captain Matt! Our group included three energetic boys (ages 11, 8, and 5), mom and dad, and grandma—and every single one of us had an absolute blast. Captain Matt was patient, knowledgeable, and fantastic with the kids, making sure everyone was involved and having fun. We caught lots of fish, which kept the excitement going the whole time. The boys especially loved reeling them in and learning a few tricks from the captain. It was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation for our family. Thank you, Captain Matt, for a truly memorable experience—we'll definitely be back! Highly recommend for families looking for a fun, kid-friendly fishing trip with a top-notch guide.

Wonderful trip

We took out my 10 year old niece, 6 year old daughter and 4 year old son for their first Ocean fishing trip and they all had the best time. Everyone caught fish and the trip length was perfect. Captain Matt was so patient and good with the kids and made sure we got in good spots to get the kids bites and they got plenty. He was a wonderful captain and I could not have asked for a better first Ocean fishing trip for the kids. Highly recommend!

Great fishing trip

I went on a 2 hours trip with two kids, and we caught about 20 fish overall, and someone was eating the bait as soon as the hooks went down in the water, so obviously there was a lot of fish there. Captain Matt was great with my kids, was helping us with the bait and rigging all the time, and told us a lot about the fish we were catching. Highly recommend!

Amazing Captain for Father Son Trip
