My son and I were visiting from Adelaide, Australia. We had a brilliant experience with Doug fishing for salmon in the Sound. It was a stunning day. Easily organised, great communication, perfect day and fishing experience! Would book with Captain Doug again when we come back. Highly recommend!

So wodnerful having you and your son on my boat! look forward to seeing you again.
Doug was very knowledgeable and had us on salmon as soon as we started fishing. He was very good at instructing novice salmon fishermen into a 4 salmon limit for a 16 boat limit. Captain was very informative- even giving cooking and storage tips for the fillets he prepared for us. As a bonus at the end of the day we got to watch a group of seals feeding off the scraps from cleaning. Overall a very good day on the water.

It was so much fun getting you guys into your first salmon! I am so glad you had fun.
captain doug helped us navigate all the equipment, and gave us an experience we’ll never forget!!!

Azi, Thank you for the reveiw. Enjoyed having you on the water befire you went to a Fifa World Cup match in Seattle.
Captain Doug was very kind and professional. He always put our safety first. He was so helpful especially when we had two monster fish on at the same time. We caught our limit and this will be a memory that is priceless. Doug also filleted our fish perfectly on the boat and we got to see seals as well. We appreciated his time and talents! We recommend this fishing experience!

Thank you. You guys did a great job getting the salmon to the boat so I could net them.
It was our first time fishing and Captain clearly explained everything.

thank you so much for the review. Have a great time on your cruise.

I've been passionate about fishing since I was five years old, when my dad gave me my first rod, reel, and tackle box — a moment that sparked a lifelong connection to the water. Growing up, I fished for bass, crappie, and catfish, and that early excitement only grew stronger as I explored new species and waters across the globe, including during my time in the U.S. Navy. After moving to the Pacific Northwest in 1990, I became deeply committed to mastering its diverse fisheries and eventually turned that passion into a full-time career as a charter captain and fishing guide, operating since 2008. What drives me in this industry is more than the thrill of the catch — it's the opportunity to share unforgettable outdoor experiences, help people connect with nature, and witness the pure joy of someone landing their first fish in these incredible waters.
