The southernmost settlement of Alabama, this popular resort town is aptly nicknamed "small town, big beach." Hop aboard any Gulf Shores fishing charter and discover great fishing, from the inshore shallows to the deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico!
Although the city harbors an increasingly rewarding inshore fishery, reef and deep sea fishing remain the name of the local angling game. Around 17,000 artificial reefs dominate the local seafloor, making it a hospitable place for beauties such as Triggerfish, Grouper, Amberjack, and over half a dozen Snapper species, including the sought-after Red Snapper, to call home.
Head even further out in summer, and you could come into contact with some true monsters of the sea. Marlin, Tuna, Wahoo, Mackerel, and Mahi Mahi can all be found in the deep waters of the Gulf, so settle in for a thrilling adventure.
You don’t need to head that far out, though, to get your hands on some exciting and delicious fish. Redfish, Black Drum, and Speckled Trout are available pretty much year-round inshore, while Pompano, Sheepshead, Whiting, and Flounder also add to the long list of fish that live in the Perdido Bay and its neighboring bayous and lagoons.
With so much fishing on offer, it’s no surprise that there’s a range of trips to cater to your needs. From a half day trip inshore to up to a few days on the water offshore, there’s something for all kinds of anglers.
