Just have fun, look for smaller charters. Those guys are usually from around the area and know good spots because they fish them themselves. Bigger charters sometimes mix parties and are busier, there is A LOT going on. A smaller charter you get focused attention and instruction if you need it. Captain Vince knows where to find fish and how to catch them. Within 4 hours of our trip, we caught 30+ fish including sheepshead, tatugo, black drum, puffer fish, etc. The entire trip was filled with laughters, fun stories and special edition ginger ales. Our deck hand Veronica was also very sweet and helpful. We had my son’s best friend with us, and I have never seen him this happy. Captain Vince and Veronica created our life time memory in a beautiful November Sunday afternoon.

Went out with these guys a four times and got right on the fish caught my first swordfish with them once we hooked up with the first one we brought three more in and lost one and then we thought we had another one and it was a big eye tuna. It was 104 pounds. Their first mate Bryan jones is one best guys out there I already have a couple trips booked this year for 2024 with them and can’t wait.

Aaron and his crew took us out to the canyon for Tuna fishing. We had a wonderful time and were able to catch 2 nice size tuna. The mate and Aaron are experts in knowing Tuna habits thus leading to a very successful day for fishing. Great experience shared by all and we intend to make this an annual outing and will definitely use them. Their honesty, knowledge and hospitality are highly exceptional. Can’t wait for the next adventure on the Ocean Hunter.

Great trip! Didn’t catch any keepers, but that’s the way fishing goes…Captain John tried many times to find us the best spot. Just enjoyed being out on the boat, seeing the dolphins and the banter between Captain John and first mate Hunter…great guys. Will do it again with them some day.
