The best times of the year to catch fish for dinner is October through May. The hottest summer months, " June, July, August, and September " the snapper and grouper go offshore to spawn. I use mostly live, cut pinfish, and ballyhoo on light spinning tackle.

Captain Dan is THE most experienced, knowledgeable, patient, kind, professional, & funny captain we’ve EVER experienced! He made sure each of us catch at least one shark & my eldest caught 2! We saw shark, lobster, yellowtail, bonnet heads, starfish, jellyfish, & blue something (can’t remember the name). He even has a solution to help my daughter overcome her seasickness! You’ll NEVER meet a better guide in key west!
