Dana Point California Sheephead Fishing Charters

The waters of Dana Point are perfect for half day fishing adventures. Captain Corey and his crew will take you to the fish and also narrate the coast and surrounding areas. Expect to encounter species such as California Sheepshead, Barracuda, Mahi Mahi, Cod, Halibut, Rockfish, and more. Rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price of the trip. Departure times are flexible.

Shorter trips are a lot of fun for the whole family. With targets like Rockfish and Calico Bass, you're angling for a very delicious dinner. This s customer favorite starter trip. It gives more opportunity to catch different types of fish. We are the only charter boat in San Diego county with the SeaKeeper Gyro which takes 90% of the left and right roll out of the boat for a smooth ride.

This trip adds a few more options compared to the half-day trip. This puts some spots that are a little further away into striking distance. This trip can venture out to the famous 150-spot where Yellowtail fishing thrives, or run down south to the Barn Kelp where Seabass love to hang. A great trip for anglers who want to be back to land earlier in the afternoon if you have later obligations.

Targeting big Pelagic Sportfish, Mako and Thresher Sharks

This trip is excellent whether as an introduction to fishing or just a day on the water. You'll be fishing for Bass, Barracuda, and Rockfish, and if you're lucky, Yellowtail or Halibut will come over the rail as well. Note: Customers must purchase a California fishing license prior to the trip.

An all-inclusive trip (other than fishing licenses/ food) for up to 6 passengers. Great for those who want extra time fishing but don't want to spend all day on the water.

Check-in is 1 hour prior to departure. The price for this 6-hour fishing trip includes bait, and fishing equipment is available for rental. At an additional cost, you can also get fishing licenses, gunny sacks, and fish cleaning.

6 hrs is enough time to fish The Point and Salt Creek where several species of Bass hide out and smoother sandy bottoms for Halibut while all the time fly line'ing for Pacific Makeral, Bonito and Barracuda. The natural kelp forests also provide excellent places to catch fish. Then- Deep water trolling the last hour if you want to go for some big game fish. It's your trip and your choice as to how and what to target. 6 hrs we can do both local and off shore or one or the other. Shark, Fish or Both
