Dewey Beach Dolphin (Mahi Mahi) Fishing Charters

This will be 5 to 6 hours of fishing nearshore within 15 miles of the beach. This is mostly a catch and release Shark trip along with bottom fishing for Flounder. A trip of this kind could target anything as far as Cobia, Bluefish, Red Drum (late in the season), and any other species that will be in the area's nearshore waters. This is a great family trip. A fuel surcharge may apply if diesel fuel is higher than $4 per gallon at the OC Fishing Center on the day of your trip.

This is an inshore tuna trolling trip targeting bluefin tuna. You may also encounter bonita, mahi, spanish mackerel and bluefish. You will be fishing inshore 20-30 miles on lumps. This is usually a 8hr trip leaving at 5:00 am may be subject to leave earlier if necessary. This is a trip for those not wanting to spend all day tuna fishing

Gives us more time to get to the pelagic fish that may be lurking close by, but is a season-dependent trip. In May we won‘t catch mahi or wahoo, but may get a shot at a bluefin. In June the odds get better, but water may still not be warm enough. Starting in July the chances improve of finding king mackerel, mahi-mahi, tuna, & wahoo. This 6-hour trip will target Mahi Mahi in the ocean on light tackle. These acrobatic and colorful fish are targeted from late July to early September from 10 to 30 miles out. We will use a combination of baits and jigs/lures for action on offshore structures. A number of other species may also be caught. All bait and tackle are provided and start times are flexible. This is our best bang for your buck trip as we have enough time to reach our best inshore wrecks or natural bottom for seabass and flounder or troll the shoals for mahi, bluefish, mackerel, and bonitos. The extra 2 hours over our half day trip allows us alittle more flexibility to fish a spot longer or simply enough time to get to a productive spot with plenty of time to fish. Our range is within 15 miles of indian river inlet. The closer to shore the fish are the more time you have to fish!
