Jersey Shore King Mackerel (Kingfish) Fishing Charters

Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, False Albacore, Spanish Mackerel, and sharks. Available late May-October. We will fish 30-45+ miles offshore.

This trip is for the group that wants the opportunity to target pelagic species such as Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, and King Mackrel without the long ride to the canyons. On this trip, you'll be heading anywhere from 25 miles to 35 miles from shore. Get ready for your next big game adventure aboard the "Gone Fishin’". **A trip modification may be suggested by the captain based on the current fishing reports during the time of the scheduled trip (ie. fishing range exceeds the 35 mile limit)**

Gives us more time to get to the pelagic fish that may be lurking close by, but is a season-dependent trip. In May we won‘t catch mahi or wahoo, but may get a shot at a bluefin. In June the odds get better, but water may still not be warm enough. Starting in July the chances improve of finding king mackerel, mahi-mahi, tuna, & wahoo. We will be targeting fluke and other bottom fish.

Up to 6 people can head out to the Gulf Stream for 8 hours of deep sea fishing. Pelagic fish including Sailfish, Marlin, Tuna, Mahi, king mackerel and Wahoo reside here in the warm water where they feed on a bounty of smaller fish and Squid. The trip starts early because you will run offshore more than 12 miles, trolling a combination of lures, teasers, and rigged baits. Live bait (when available) can be provided at additional expense.

On this trip we split the trip by trolling half the trip and bottom fishing the other half. We may spend more time on one or the other depending which technique is producing fish.

Have you always wanted to get out on the ocean and try your luck on some larger flounder, sea bass, triggerfish, tog and much more? This is the perfect trip to get experience fishing the ocean! You will learn new tactics on how to fish deep water as well as the tactics it take to find structure and why fish hold in these areas. This is a perfect trip for kids as well to have an action packed trip with the opportunity at a fish of a lifetime!
