Waukegan Rainbow Trout (Steelhead) Fishing Charters

Start your morning by heading out on this half-day trip targeting species such as King Salmon, Coho Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Lake Trout, and Brown Trout. You'll get all the equipment – rods, reels, tackle, and lures, while Wisconsin fishing licenses can be bought on board. NOTE: Start times vary depending on the month and species being targeted, so agree with Captain on the departure time prior to the trip.

This trip is meant for up to 3 people only. Early bird catches the best fish! For this 5-hour trip, you can expect to reel in anything from King Salmon to Lake Trout, depending on when you decide to book your trip. These trips are customizable, so feel free to talk it out with your captain if you want to go after a particular fish species.

Up to 6 people are welcome aboard, first thing in the morning, to experience the incredible fishing Lake Michigan has to offer. Get out on the productive waters and troll for the bite of a range of delicious Trout and Salmon. Spending 6 hours on the water will allow you plenty of time to reel in a boatful of these beauties, all the while engaging in thrilling fishing.

This expedition is perfect for all anglers who like to get up before the sun, enjoy the quiet, and have their line in water before sunrise. On the menu are Coho and Chinook Salmon, as well as Lake, Rainbow, and Brown Trout. Pack your fishing license, favorite nibbles, and drinks.

Spending 6 hours on the water is the perfect way to spend your weekend. Don't waste a second of your free time and get out on the water at dawn to catch the first bite of the day and work your way up until lunch trying to fill the boat with something delicious to take home. Lake Michigan is overflowing with Salmon, Trout, and Perch just waiting to be caught, so come and fill your boots and fill the boat too. Just make sure to contact your captain as departure times may change.

Up to 6 anglers can come aboard and have fun fishing. You and the captain will depart at 5:00 a.m. and spend 6 hours targeting species such as Rainbow, Brown, and Lake Trout as well as Coho and Chinook Salmon.

This is the most popular trip we book. The 2 person rate is available mid week. We leave the dock early at 5am and fish for 5 hours. This trip can accomodate a group up to 6 people, but prices vary depending on total number of guests. I will clean and bag your catch after our morning on the water!

This is a trip for a group of 4 to 6 anglers for 5 hours.

During our 5 hour excursion we will be trolling for 5 different species of fish. Captain Jim has been fishing Lake Michigan for over 50 years. He has won over 30 salmon tournaments, including the biggest tournament ever out of Waukegan - the Pass the Passion Tournament. Captain Jim uses his knowledge along with the best equipment to put fish in the cooler for you.
