Cape Charles Redfish Fishing Charters

This trip will take place in the lower Chesapeake Bay. As soon as you come aboard, you are minutes from fishing! Once you're on the best fishing grounds, you can cast your line and wait for something great to bite – Redfish, Black Drum, Cobia, Bluefish, as well as Striped Bass and Spadefish are all game. After the trip, your captain and first mate will clean and package your catch for you. Don't forget to bring your food, beverages, and sunscreen.

Spend your morning fishing in protected waters that are usually very calm but also filled with exciting fish. You'll mainly focus on targeting Puppy Drum, also known as Redfish, using quality light tackle equipment to make the fight exciting.

This short trip is perfect for those who don't have the time for a full day of fishing. Combine sight casting and bottom fishing, targeting some of the tastiest local species. The captain will prepare the equipment, you just need to pack some snacks and drinks.

You and the captain will depart at 8:00 a.m. and hit the waters around Cape Charles to target various species such as Tautog, cobia,Redfish, Speckled Trout, and more. You'll only need snacks and drinks for the trip.

The Trophy Reds we catch are usually 40 to 55 plus inches!! Red Drum trips are only available for late afternoon until last light. This is usually when the bite really gets hot! Any fish caught over 46 inches is a Citation fish! This makes the angler elegible for a Citation Trophy/Plaque from VMRC. They don't send them out until the year is over, but they are Very Nice! We will be bottom fishing for the Reds in the Chesapeake Bay near Cape Charles. The slot to keep a Red Drum is between 18 to 26 inches

Our Most Popular Trip gives us time to switch location or species. The trip lasts from to and is flexible. These 6 hours include travel to and from the fishing location and allows to travel further up and down the coast. 6-person maximum for the trip. There will be a 20% gratuity for mate, fish cleaning, and packaging.

Fishing inside the Chesapeake Bay within 15 miles of the marina using a variety of techniques to target requested species or whatever species has the hot bite. 20% tip for a mate is customary.
