Our most popular trip. On this trip we target a variety of species around the Galveston jetty complex & bay system. We use live bait to target speckled trout, redfish, sheepshead and drum on light tackle. We then search for sharks and bull redfish on heavy tackle. These trips usually fill the box with quality fish. All tackle, bait and fish cleaning included. All you need is food, beverages and a fishing license.

Nothing speaks better than a cooler filled with a limit of speckled trout + Spanish mackerel, sheepshead, and pompano. Mike put us onto fish all day and we caught a lot of big fish and a lot of small fish. 5 stars would recommend.

Morning trip

This was our third trip with Captain Matt, first one taken in 2023. As expected, we caught a ton of fish of several different species including Spanish Mackerel, Black Drum, Spackled Trout, Sheepshead and Red fish! We would highly recommend using Captain Matt as your fishing guide! He is very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.

Let me tell you this was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have ever had. We went out fishing at the jetties and had a blast caught some black top shark and Spanish mackerel. Was the first time I have ever been and already thinking about going again if your on the edge of doing so you won’t regret it. Thanks for all the hospitality can’t wait to go again!

We had a great trip. My son caught a nice black fin shark. We caught speckled trout and Spanish Mackerel. Capt Mike has a great location at the Galveston Yacht Basin. Put us on fish immediately. Will definitely book with him again.

Very enjoyable experience for rookie fishermen - These guys know where and when to go. They are "The Shark Whisperers" - We caught several big sharks, Reds, Specs, and a Spanish Mackerel too.
