Sargent Spanish Mackerel Fishing Charters

Come alone or with a friend and we'll fill the rest of the boat for 5 action-packed hours on the water! Fishing out of Freeport, Texas, we will fish offshore for Bull Red, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, Shark, Sheepshead, Ling and more. You can book ONE spot or multiple spots, but there must be at least 4 booked for the trip to go. Price includes fuel, bait, equipment, drinks (water), gratuity, and a t-shirt! Won't let you book? A trip for up to 6 people. No fuel surcharge! The trip departs at 1:00 p.m. You will fish state waters for what is biting, which could be Red Drum (trophy Bull Redfish), Shark, King and Spanish Mackerel, and Cobia (Ling). You will make many stops but stay within the Texas state water boundaries.

Spend the morning fishing up to 9 miles from shore. We'll target what is biting. Give your best shot at King Mackerel, Red Drum (trophy Bull Red), Red Snapper (seasonal), Catfish, and a variety of sharks. You can also expect to target Spanish Mackerel, Sting Ray, Cobia, and Mahi Mahi on occasion. The captain will do everything he can to fill your cooler with fresh fish for you to take home. Bring your drinks, snacks, sunscreen, and fishing license and let's have a great time!

Full day trips will typically depart at sunrise (6:00 a.m. summer and 7:00 a.m. winter). If the schedule allows, the captain can adjust departure times to accommodate your requests. All rods, reels, artificial lures, and terminal tackle are included in the price. Live bait will be an additional cost.

All of the captain's trips include fuel, no surprises! This is a nearshore trip. You and the crew will for the most part stay in state waters (inside of 9 miles) and chase oversized Red Drum, Kingfish, Cobia, Snapper, and more. The species are dependent on migratory patterns, weather conditions and federal regulations.

No fuel charge and fish cleaning included. The 5-hour trip is your best bet for some big fish action on a limited budget and schedule. This trip produces large Red Drum (Bull Red) (licenses should have a Red Drum tag), small Sharks, Gaftop Catfish, Gulf Trout, and sometimes Red Snapper. Your captain will search up to 40 square miles of nearshore waters. Once the best fishing grounds are located, the captain will attract fish and begin a feeding frenzy with a chum line from an anchored or drift position.
