Holden Beach Speckled Trout Fishing Charters

This is a full day of fishing where you will spend 8 hours on the inshore waters targeting Flounder, Redfish, Sheepshead, Stingray. Trout, and other local species. You will have enough time to change a few productive locations during this trip.

This is the ideal trip for the most passionate anglers out there. This full day adventure will allow you to change a few productive locations and can see you targeting both the inshore and the inlet jetties. You can target Redfish, Flounder, Trout, Black Drum, Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, and more.

Our nearshore option involves fishing in the inlet and artificial reefs and wrecks out to 10 miles. You have the opportunity to catch Red Drum, Flounder, Black Seabass, Speckled Trout, a variety of sharks, and possibly Spanish and King Mackerel depending on the time of year. Each trip is customized to make sure our customers have the best possible experience. This is a great option for those with small children or those just looking for the experience and not necessarily looking for a trophy catch.

*** Meet in downtown Wilmington, NC (about 1 hour from OIB) *** for a 6-hour winter Striped Bass trip on the Cape Fear River. We’ll fish artificial lures only around bridges, docks, and river structure for hard-fighting stripers (typically 2–10 lbs). This is catch-and-release only. All gear, lures, and licenses included. Family-friendly—no experience needed.

This 6-hour trip will give you more time to catch fish and enjoy nature. Target Sheepshead, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Redfish, and many more. One thing is for sure – you'll have a lot of fun with Capt. Tripp.

An extra hour on the water gives you a greater opportunity to catch something nice. On this extended half-day trip, you will be exploring the famous Intracoastal Waterway between North and South Carolina, as well as some nearshore reefs along the coast. You can expect to target a range of different species including Black Drum, Cobia, Spadefish, King Mackeral, Redfish, Flounder, Speckled Seatrout, and even Sharks!

This extended trip will give you more time to catch more fish. Flounder, Trout and Redfish and weather permitting up to 3 miles offshore.

3/4 day charters are geared toward the more hard-core anglers who are willing to wait out the fish or want to venture nearshore on calmer days for trolling and reef fishing. These charters are great for catching King and Spanish Mackerel as well as Cobia when those species are running in the area.

On the 5-hour fishing charter, we will be using light tackle targeting various fish such as Red Drum, Black Drum, Flounder, and Speckled Sea Trout. You will have the option of what you want to try and catch and eat or release. Everything needed will be provided for you.
