This is a 4-hour trip to explore the local flats, coves, and bays. You'll mostly be using the captain's light tackle, but feel free to bring along your own fly fishing gear if you'd like. Included in the price of the trip is the fishing license for the group. You'll need to bring a small cooler of food and drinks along with you, as well as sun protection and appropriate clothing for the weather. Bass, Flounder, Bluefish, and more can be targeted on this trip. The starting time is flexible!

Gives us more time to get to the pelagic fish that may be lurking close by, but is a season-dependent trip. In May we won‘t catch mahi or wahoo, but may get a shot at a bluefin. In June the odds get better, but water may still not be warm enough. Starting in July the chances improve of finding king mackerel, mahi-mahi, tuna, & wahoo. Choose an 8 hr near shore trip. We stay within 30 miles of shore. We keep our plans dynamic to adapt to conditions. On summer days we might find some structure that is holding mahi. We might see a bird play marking tuna or bluefish. 8 hours is enough time to target some larger species. I’m trained to bend the rods and versatile enough to develop a game plan based on current conditions.
