Mauritius Dogtooth Tuna Fishing Charters

On this trip you can fish for various kinds of Tuna, Giant Trevally, Marlin, Mahi Mahi, and more. Penn and Shimano fishing gear is provided.

Fishing from 6 am to 6 pm.

This trip gives you a good chance to catch any kind of fish as the fishing grounds are close to shore (fishing starts just 10 minutes after leaving the reef channel). If Skipjack Tuna are around, a freshly caught one will go in the water as live bait and you'll slow-troll (for the big ones) along the first drop off, which goes to about 300' (100m) deep. If there are no signs of bait, you will troll artificial lures in deeper waters (up to over 9000' or 3000m) for Billfish or any other fish.

Once you pass the reef that circles the island, you'll immediately start looking for signs of fish. There are many fish living very close to the island due to the fact that there's deep water very close to shore. In season you can even find Black Marlin in this area. Travel up to 15-10 miles offshore, targeting game fish including Blue and Black Marlin, Mahi-mahi, Wahoo, Bonito and Tuna, depending on the season.

(you can bring your gear(rod and reels) for a better experience (best popper will be provided) and drinks. Bring your snacks or lunch. Offshore fishing will depend on the weather conditions

You will target Marlin, Tuna, Dorado, and Bonito.

This trip starts at 5:00 a.m. and ends at 11:00 a.m., fishing a maximum distance of 5 to 8 nautical miles out. We do trolling, drift fishing, and fishing with live bait. We target Yellowfin Tuna, Dogtooth Tuna, Blue Marlin, and Mahi Mahi. We also bottom fish. We provide sandwiches, snacks, and soft drinks.
