I have never been “deep-sea” fishing before.  Our guide and his deck hand were fantastic!  It was very helpful that the Captain Jorge was bi-lingual, as I am not!  He was an excellent teacher, and you could tell that it was his mission to get us on some fish…and he did!  I wanted albacore to take home and share with my friends and family and Jorge and David made that happen!  If I ever go back to Puerto Vallarta, I will absolutely book another trip with them!

My wife and I booked four hours on the Valeria I. When we got there we were shown onto Valeria II. The picture of Valeria I looked like it was a more modern boat. Valeria II was okay. Captian Jorge and his first mate (his wife?) were excellent and we caught two Skipjack and three Mahi. The experience was good until we asked if we could pay the balance of our invoide in Canadian dollars. Jorge had to call someone and they gave us an exchange rate of 1 CAD = 10 MEX, which I think was a bit of a rip off. Even our resort was offering 11.5 MEX. I did ask him to call them back and tell them I thought we were being taking advantage of. Anyway, we paid it without arguing but some official looking lady met us at the pier when we arrived, I assume to ensure we were going to pay. It took the shine off of what otherwise would have been a very good experience.

So our day started off with great fishing-  2 yellowtail and 4 jacks( threw those back) but fun to pull in.  Our crew made us delish ceviche-  captain is very experienced as water was a little rough but he made it as smooth as he could.

The biggest experience was we found 4 sea turtles tangled in nets and we actually saved them.  We pulled them in the boat and he and his guy cut the netting off as we released them back into the water. 

Absolutely caring and respectful of the wildlife of the sea.  Experienced and professional.

English is perfect!  Gave us tips on the best beach spots.

We rented the boat a second time, for snorkeling and beach hopping.  Beautiful day-  went to Quiximote village-  Sprain walked us to the waterfalls.  Stunning beaches, beautiful day!

We had an amazing time! The water was rough today so fishing was spotty, we landed two yellowfins and many jacks! The highlights of our trip were the HUNDREDS of dolphins swimming and jumping right beside the boat! We helped our captain and first mate rescue FOUR sea turtles caught in some fishing nets. We saw a cluster of bottles floating and investigated - three sea turtles tangled all together and one attached to a connecting line. Our captain, first mate, my husband and uncle wasted no time getting to the turtles and safely getting them out of their tangled mess. All turtles survived and it was a beautiful, incredible, heartwarming experience. If you’re looking to book a trip, the Valeria I is my recommendation. What a fantastic trip this was. Captain Jorge and his first mate were very friendly and communication with them was great. We immediately hooked in to a triple header of Bonitos as soon as we reached the fishing grounds. The chaos and excitement was exactly what I wanted for my self and my guests as some of them had not ever experienced good ocean fishing before. We managed to bring in 2 of the three and brought in many more through the rest of the 4 hour charter. It’s also worth noting that the captain had also extended the fishing time a little as we got in to a pocket of fish just as the charter was ending. This has by far been the best thing we have done in the last couple years in pv. As an experienced sport fisherman, I highly recommend these guys. Thank you Captain Jorge and crew for a great day and delicious feast of fresh fish after!
