Booked last minute trip for my 9yo son and I as some large storms washed out our fly fishing plans. Captain Len was responsive and flexible, even as far as allowing us to push our start from morning to afternoon targeting Stripers on Carter’s Lake. We arrived at the launch and he was ready and waiting with a live well full of shad and herring he caught cast netting early in the AM. We got out on the lake and we’re at our first spot and had lines in the water in 10 mins. His boat is spacious clean and equipped with top tech and tackle. You can tell he really knows the lake and did everything he could to put us on the “big ones” my son wanted. By dusk it was mission accomplished as my son was wiped and we had caught 2 massive 36 in Stripers (a third got off in the net that was just as big) and a few nice Spotted Bass. All in all, it was a great day on a beautiful north GA lake with a top tier guide who was knowledgeable, personable and great with my son. We will definitely book with you again Len again, thanks for a great trip!!!

Our half-day with Captain Len Slay started with a boat-ride up river in 32 degree weather. That was a chilling experience but necessary to get to our targeted species.

Great boat, clean and comfy, well appointed and Capt. Len was very disciplined in making sure everything was in its place through the entire trip. Pretty impressive! We boated a jumbo Perch, a 23 inch Walleye and released several spotted Bass. When the bite slowed, we moved to catch Spotted Bass, catch & Release.

Capt. Len had a great location and we boated & released more than a dozen Spotted Bass, several over 5 lbs, several in the 4 lb. range and some smaller. Great fun, very busy and Capt. Len kept hustling to keep our rigs baited and in the water, etc.

We were traveled to Georgia from MA and knew time out on a lake was something that would make this extra memorable. Once we knew more about the area, Len worked with us to find the perfect lake that would have more fish (than our first plan), and ensured he was well stocked with bait/rods/lifejackets and ready to make it a great day for us all. He was responsive, on time, knowledgable and willing to follow our lead for what we wanted out of our time. The kids caught their first freshwater striper (plus a bunch of other fish) and still are talking about how great it was!

My 15 year old son, his friend and I fished with Captain Len and is was nothing short of AWESOME! We caught 7 different species of fish and in total netted more than 40 fish overall. Captain Len knew 4 different spots that we hit over the 6 hours and each of them worked! He was laid back, helpful and so easy to fish with. I highly recommend him!! Thank you.
