Fantastic experience with Capt. David from booking to end.  Worked with us to make my wifes first Gulf fishing trip memorable.  Really enjoyed watching her hook up on some good red fish. VERY GOOD TIMES!!! Will highly recommend Soggy Bottom Chaters, look them up and give them a call. The night trip was great.

Oh man what can I say. Have went on several fishing trips in Destin here and this one tops them all. Maybe I was just lucky and out on a good day with Captain Bobby? Who knows, those are things you can’t really tell unless you fish here on a daily basis and obviously I don’t hence I payed for a charter. But here’s what I can tell you: within the first hour of our trip we caught our limit in Amberjack! Huge fish, what a workout to bring up to the boat. Soon after that for a little bit we felt like our luck had run out. We were trolling around where we could even see the fish and really nothing happened. But Captain Bobby came to save the day, while we were heading to the next spot he used his skills and expertise to actually put us on some fish before ever getting there! He just happened to take us by some stuff floating out in the middle of the ocean and felt the need to go by it. Needless to say, there were a bunch of Mahi Mahi there! Man that is some fun, this was definitely not my first time to get up on some of these fun fish here in the gulf, but it was for sure my funnest Time! These were the biggest Mahi I’ve ever had the pleasure of catching, and even while walking around the harbor walk today I noticed some boats came in with even more Mahi than we had caught, but let me tell ya I checked them all out and not even there biggest one matched our smallest one! I will also post pictures with this review. A few side notes we were doing so well and not stressing to just get a catch in that Captain Bobby was able to spot a huge dolphin group, and took us out there where we were able to see probably at least 50 dolphin swim under the boat! Also let me tell ya, the day was done we were already headed back in when my wife and I spotted a huge group of Bonita our in the gulf, which looked nearly like white water rapids. So our time
Was up and we were already headed back in but guess what?! Captain Bobby took us out to where the fish were still so we could catch all we could catch. So to sum up my review is when you go with these guys, yes you might not get a big charter boat with an AC cabin and bathrooms on board, but what you are getting is your moneys worth, times whatever you want to times it by. As I said myself I come to vacation here every single year and do a fishing charter, and by far these guys are the best priced and the best experience I have been on in at least ten different fishing charters! Book with these guys today and you Won’t be disappointed!

Captain Bobby took us on our 3 Hour kid friendly bay fishing trip and it was everything we wanted it to be! Rain caused our original booking to be postponed, but they were great about getting us rescheduled! Bobby made sure our boys were able to catch fish…he was ready to help if they needed it but let them do it themselves as much as they were able. We weren’t getting any bites the first spot we stopped so we moved on pretty quickly and had success at our next spot. We caught mostly catfish but were surprised to catch 6 stingrays in total! My boys thought that was awesome! My husband was reluctant to spend the money on this trip, but he said he had a good time and was glad we did it. We would absolutely book with Soggy Bottom again.

Booked a half day trip at the end of March with my 19 and 7 yr old sons while on a family vacation nearby. Even though it was a slower time for fishing in general due to inadequately warm temperatures, it was still an enjoyable time. If the fish weren’t biting in one spot, off we went to the next as Capt Bobby was determined to send us away with fish. My 7 year old is still talking about the trip as he landed his first Redfish. These guys are very responsive and make you feel like you’ve been friends for years. They work hard so that you enjoy yourself and catch as much as possible. Looking forward to booking again in the summer with these guys. 100% satisfied and you will be too.
