Thank you for your business Chris I enjoyed having you guys out fishing with me!  For the record catching bait is included in every trip we offer. When we Gulf fish we have bait boats that sell live minnows, so we offer you the option to buy them from the bait guy or stop and catch them ourselves. I always recommend buying them because some days the baits not there or they don’t bite and when they get tough you can eat up an hour of fishing time trying to catch bait…. Some days the bait guy can’t even catch them, so we were very fortunate to have that option. Four hours is a short amount of time and trolling was the best option for your trip because most bottom fish are out of season and the trolling has been pretty hot, and if I remember we had a great catch doing so. Unfortunately sometimes the bite can be tough and every bite counts so usually I grab the rod first when trolling because I know a few tricks to get them back on the line when they bite short as some days they do. Next time you guys are down I’ll be sure to keep a rod in everyone’s hand the entire time and show you some different types of fishing we offer that may be a little more your style! Thanks again for bringing your family down I had a wonderful time with you guys!! Just to clear the air a normal 4 hr trip contains approx. 2-3 hours of fishing time. We generally have to run further to find fish but due to high winds we were unable to do so. Luckily the bite was on fire close where we were able to fish. Also, on most days we spend the first 30-45 minutes catching bait, but do to the lack of bait this early in our season I had already purchased bait for the trip prior to leaving the dock. I do apologize for shortening your 6 hr scheduled trip due to weather, but mother nature has been tough on us this year. Our only option due to where we were catching fish becoming too rough to fish anymore was to fish near the marinas in the harbor which doesn’t produce much fish this time of year. I didn’t want to waste your time/money so I had to make the call…I did see to It that your deposit was also discounted for the right price and charged you accordingly to our normal rates. I believe we caught nearly 20 - 30 Sheephead which I can assure you is a special day of fishing, as some times we don’t catch that many on 6 hours of fishing. I do apologize sincerely if you felt I was wrong and will gladly give you an extra hour free on your next trip with us to make up for it! Thanks again!

Your captain went to catch bait before your trip which he doesn’t get paid for so he did that on your behalf for free! Most captains will go get bait once you arrive. Rids weren’t rigged because we had to go bay fishing due to the gulf being rough which is why we rigged up before we left the dock for you. Your 5th person brought their own fly rod and wanted to fly fish on a 22 ft Boat with 4 other lines in the water. Definitely not something we allow often but Captain Andrew made an exception and let him do it. Our boats are licensed, registered and insured and the Game Warden didn’t write any tickets. They pull people over often. We always pass inspection. Boat rail will be fixed I am not able to control customers breaking our things but when the boat fishes every day it’s hard to get it out of the water to do so. We absolutely never smoke in front of our clients unless the boat is on plane and you’re in front of us. I’m sorry you feel a certain type of way but thank you for taking the time to leave a wonderful review after we went

Tim I’m sorry the fishing was tough due to gusting winds and choppy seas. Unfortunately mother nature plays a huge role in what we can do and where we can go. Also there isn’t much in season this time of the year that we can keep which again is out of my control. The reason the fish broke us at the leader is because they got you down in the wreck and that’s the first thing that touches the wreck as it’s the closest thing to it. We broke off 3 fish in the wreck and had a big mackerel bite through our steel leader and even though we only had one fish for keeping it was big enough to feed all 3 of you. You only booked a 4 hour trip which is not much time when you have to catch bait and drive slow from spot to spot and as many times as I rebaited empty hooks I would have to say that some of your tough fishing was due to several missed bites and broken off fish which could have made it a great day were you guys able to land them. Not to mention you never quit setting the hook when instructed several times that you won’t catch them that way. I can take people to the fish and verbally instruct them how to do beat I know how to but ultimately it’s up to you guys to listen and catch them. I’m sorry it just wasn’t out day but we did have quote a few good chances and I did the best I could with what I had to work with. Unfortunately we have to make a call and it doesn’t always pan out the way we want it to. I hope you guys will come back and see me as I know I will always work hard for my customers and give you as good of a shot as anyone in Destin at catching fish. If we caught them all day everyday they would call it catching.
