Had an awesome day with Alfonso.
Two of us fishing and our other halves enjoying a day at sea.
Had a five fish mahi mahi hook up an hour into the day. Then a lull, single barracuda, single mahi and then another 3 fish hook up resulting in an awesome bull Mahi Mahi.
The skipper and his mate did their very best to make sure we were all happy. Even breaking open the tequila to celebrate the big fish.
If there was any issue at all it was due to the language barrier but Alfonsos English is way better than my Spanish.
Still hoping Alfonso sends me the photos he took on the day as I have asked.
One slight problem at the end of the day but not Alfonso’s fault at all
The restaurant prepared us an outstanding meal of our fish but we believed the cost quoted was inclusive of drinks and dessert s but alas not. It all got sorted to everyone’s satisfaction.
Would I book again.

Al Fonso and his deck hand where great. We arrived a little early . Don’t want to start a trip late. As soon as they where ready they put us on the boat. Which was a little early than trip was supposed to start. Several fish in the boat through out the day. Snorkeled for a bit to cool down. When we got back to the beach they cleaned fish right away. Had the ASI beach club guys seats us and discuss how we wanted are fish cooked . They did great. Al Fonso made sure we didn’t need a cab or any transportation contacted . He actually hung out till we left . I would fish with him again .

The captain and crew were very personable, and you could tell they love what they do. The fishing was slow, but you could tell the crew was really working hard to find the right spot. We caught a few small ones. I believe they kept us out beyond the time we paid for hoping to get us something memorable, and the captain delivered. My wife was able to hook a real nice size Mahi. We are so thankful. The captain has connections to get your fish mounted if that’s your desire, otherwise they will clean your catch for you to cook, or he will hook you up with a restaurant in port that will cook it for you. We will definitely fish with him again next time we’re in the area.

My son and I did a half day excursion and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the knowledge, professionalism, and generosity Alphonso and his crew mate showed my son and I. He knows the waters and fish lines very evidently. We landed SEVEN Mahi Mahi - largest to my son as we were coming in for the day 44” and 30 lbs!!!  It was a biggie! 

Alphonso is super honest as well as I almost overpaid him. He tells me “you are over paying me - honesty is key for me”. Bless you Alphonso! 

Worth every penny and will look him up when we come back again.
