Wow! I cant say enough abput Alfonso and his crew. We booked a private 4 hr fishing trip and from the very start Alfonso was very helpful with everything. The location was easy to find. We went out on the boat with Jose and Alejandro . They were very knowledgeable and just great genuine people to be around. We were so lucky we caught a Mahi Mahi ! Our trip was only 4 hours but they stayed an extra hour in the water for us jusy to try and catch another fish. They alsobprovide ice, water , soft drinks and beer. You can also bring your own! When we got back to land, they cleaned our fish and cut it up for us to eat. AMAZING FRESH FISH.
Overall amazing experience, safe, clean and so warm and welcoming!

Had a great day out on the boat. Alfonso and his first mate worked really hard to get us on the fish. A storm had recently come through and there was a ton of seaweed in the water. You couldn’t get away from it.  The crew was constantly pulling the bait in to remove the seaweed. Tons of work for those guys. I’ve been on many other trips and these guys knew exactly what they were doing. We had what we believe was an amberjack or large snapper hooked and before I could get it to the surface, a shark came through and spooled us. It ended up being a slow day with only one fish and those guys worked hard for it. When we got back to shore, the rest of the boats had similar luck. 10/10 would fish with these guys again. Thank you for all of your hard work Alfonso!

I took my family (wife, son 8yr, daughter 12yr) out for a morning with Captain Alfonso and his crew and we couldn’t have had a better experience. They were so accommodating. We started trolling and it was a little slow so Captain Alfonso let us do some jigging to keep the kids engaged and we caught some grouper fish for lunch. He allowed us to stay out extra hours that weren’t originally booked and took us snorkeling. Saw so many fish, rays, and turtles. The highlight of the day came when we were trolling our way in and hooked a huge barricuda! My son reeled it in and he couldn’t have been happier. Got back the beach and they cooked the fish up for us right there. Captain Alfonso and crew handled everything from start to finish and we had an A+ experience! Muy excellente!

Alfonso and Mariano are the best crew in the Yucatán! Like the title says, believe the hype! 500 reviews and 4.9 stars is something we weren’t sure was real as most captains have far less reviews and lower ratings. Alfonso is simply the best. We caught six fish and after wards he took us back, prepped the fish for us and then handed us off to a chef who made us the best barracuda ceviche. When I tell you this man knows the ocean, believe me. With 30 plus years of being on the water, you won’t be let down! Alfonso and Mariano thank you for checking off a bucket list for me and my family!

Fishing with Captain Alfonso and First Mate Mariano was a blast. These guys are hard working. We were having a slow morning and the fish were not cooperating. Mariano was busy monitoring the lines and trying new baits. Captain Alfonso kept trying new speeds and locations, trying to figure out what the fish wanted. After some time of not catching our target fish he moved us into shallower water to try for other species. We hooked into a Barracuda, and then another! There were three of us on the boat and I could tell that he wanted to get all three of us one. About 20 minutes later we caught a third. After that we went back to the deeper water and tried for Mahi again. As our time was coming to an end, the baits kept getting hit by small fish. I could tell that Captain really wanted to catch a mahi with us. He even stayed out after our time was up!  We feel privileged to have had the opportunity to fish with such pros.

When we got back to shore, Captain and a local man filleted our catch. One of the fish was immediately brought into a local restaurant and cooked in three different preparations. It was some of the best fish I’ve ever had, and definitely the freshest. One of the others was filleted and packaged for me to bring home. The third was cooked for friends and families at the restaurant.

Overall, we could have not asked for a better trip. We highly recommend Captain Alfonso!!
