Mike was is the perfect guide, he knows every inch of the river and knows how to put you on big fish! We had a great time and would definitely recommend his service to anyone who likes catching steelhead, salmon, sturgeon, you name it!

Overall the trip was what I was expecting. My reason for a lower rating was 1) the captain was unresponsive to questions I had leading up to the trip and 2) one of the captains “friends” who was also an outfitter took us out on our trip. I was never made aware of this until the day of the trip. I had booked an 8 hour trip and the captain who we went with was unaware of the length of trip we had booked so we fished for 6 hrs vs 8 which was fine considering the fish were not biting. I planned a surprise private guided fishing trip for my husband and his friend. It was kind of an add-on to our existing OR coast plans, so we went the end of May. Captain Mike was very friendly and informative and easy to coordinate with. Unfortunately only 1 salmon was caught the day they went out, but a few factors like tide and time of year played into that.
