Had an awesome day on the water with Captain Oscar. He’s a really cool guy from California, so he speaks English. His nephew served as the first mate and was a fun young man to chat with in Spanish. Most importantly we caught tons of fish! 6 Mahi Mahi and 4 Bonitos. We saw one Marlin swimming, but couldn’t get him to bite. Captain Oscar also helped us get the fish vacuum packed and recommend Captain Tony’s to prepare our fresh catch for lunch. The sister ship with Captain Armando (doesn’t speak as much English) was focused on Marlin and they caught 1 further out.

Fishing license is secured with Captain Oscar at the marina before heading out.

The boats are on the smaller more utilitarian side, but they served us well and we had multiple rods out hitting 3 fish at a time when Captain Oscar found the schools. Other ships were fishing while we were catching. So leave the prissy passengers at home and hop in with Captain Oscar if you want bent rods with a great dude.

Big shout out to oscar and armando for a great day,  little slow to start with but managed to get a great mahi mahi and marlin .10/10 would come back again 🤟

The captain and boat were fine! A little smaller than expected but serviceable!
The Captain Tony was nice! Limited English but it was fine! I guess I really shouldn’t be the typical one language only American! LoL!
We ended up in rough water due to a storm and for the first time I ever recall I got sea sick! And the fish weren’t biting! Ugh! Just make sure you check the weather and the fish reports before you go out and you should be all good! I forgot to follow my own two rules!
The boat was old but serviceable and the Captain was cool! I would recommend them with no reservations!

We scheduled a half day fishing trip with Behard and had a great time! The captain and deck hand were awesome and we ended up with 10 fish total between the 3 of us. Bonita mostly and took it back and made ceviche and sashimi that night, can’t beat fish out of the water for just hours.

Started out strong went way out there.
whales everywhere jumping stingrays! Spotted 3 Marlin caught 6 skip jack tuna and one Mahi! Which we ate immediately upon return! Went inshore for some Spanish mackerel and rooster fish. This guy does it all!! Thank you Oscar for the wonderful day!!
