despite the high winds coming out of the north, we did catch 2 redfish, right at the end. the captain postponed our trip from 7 to 8am, and then the morning of the trip postponed it again till 9am as he had a dead battery. then we spent an hour catching bait (first looking for mullet, didn’t find any, so we caught small croakers instead). catching the croakers was more fun it turned out than using the croakers as cut bait for redfish, which was kind of a sit and wait affair. but after 2 hours or so of that we caught a pair of nice sized fish in quick succession. the weather and the flood tide conditions were not ideal and the captain worked hard to find the fish. so my rating is more for the overall experience today than for the captain, who seemed to know what he was doing.

My son and I had a blast with Zane. Couldn’t have asked for more.
