Fun Day with Capt Zane. He worked hard to keep the kids busy catching fish.

We had good luck with Captain Zane including catching two large sheepsheads, one that was 7.8 lbs. We also had success with the redfish.

Captain Zane was personable, an expert fisherman and boatsman prone to teach and share info about how to fish, types of fish, habits of birds and fish. He shared info about the sound, UNCW’s and CCC’s research there. Since my family members are educators, we all appreciated this information,  enhancing the trip even more. We caught 21 fish large enough to bring home. It was great. However, the website promised that he would clean and filet the fish. That didn’t happen. We paid over $40.00... More

Cpt Zane told us where we were going and what kind of fish we would catch. And boy did we!!!  We did not fish; WE CAUGHT!!  No exaggeration, we caught over 50 fish!!!! He was very professional, especially when we got hung up on rocks and lost lures to the HUGE fish we were catching.  There are other Cpts out there, but only one CPT ZANE!!!  You are doing yourself a disservice if you go with anyone else!!!!!
