Mauro, Juan, and Jorge worked tirelessly to give us the best shot at catching sailfish.  it’s early season,  but they got us into them.  We brought 2 in, a good handful of bonitos, a spanish mackerel,  and capped the day with a bunch of barracudas.  We had a great time, captain and crew were friendly and knowledgeable.  The day couldn’t have been better.  Gracias Mauro, Juan, y Jorge.  Esperamos poder salir a pescar con ustedes de nuevo!

We booked a 5-hour afternoon trip with Captain Alex and his deckhand Juan aboard the Nuj Kay to celebrate my son’s 22nd birthday, and it turned out to be an experience we’ll never forget.

The action started early when my son landed a beautiful blackfin tuna—his first catch of the day. We were already thrilled, thinking the trip was a success… but then Captain Alex made the call to use that tuna as bait. What happened next was the kind of moment every angler dreams about.

Not long after, a massive 51-inch trophy barracuda came out of nowhere and smashed the bait just feet from the boat. The fight that followed was wild—full of adrenaline, excitement, and expert teamwork. With Alex calmly guiding the action and Juan handling the deck like a pro, we were able to bring that beast aboard. It was the catch of a lifetime and the perfect birthday surprise for my son.

The Nuj Kay was spotless, well-maintained, and fully equipped with top-tier gear. The boat had everything we needed for a smooth, fun, and safe trip. And the best part? Alex and Juan were just awesome—friendly, professional, and passionate about giving us the best experience possible.

Even in just five hours, we made lifelong memories, caught an incredible mix of fish, and shared a moment that will go down as one of the greatest birthday stories ever. They even cleaned and bagged the fish for us at the end of the trip.

We went on an 8 hour trip with Alex and Jordan. I have done many charters, but this was the best by far. They made the whole day fun and entertaining all while catching mahi mahi and a giant black fin tuna. They were very professional and polite. Their experience showed how a real charter should be. We caught fish all day! They catered to our every need! When we were all done, Jordan made fresh ceviche that was amazing. Not only do I recommend this company, but I will definitely be using them again, and I will be asking for Captain Alex and Jordan. Thank you for the best fishing day ever!!

👍🏻👍🏻😎 Afternoon trip.  Captain Mauro and crew Juan & Jorge worked their tails off.  Never stopped.  They had us on 3 sailfish in first half hour.  Landed a double.  I’ve been on many deep sea charters and highly recommend the Marlin Monroe!

myself and my wife had a great day. it was her first fishing trip and the guys made it very memorable for us both.
we caught a load of big mackerel, and a huge grouper who went back in the water to fight another day.
