after taking the time to organize trip on line several weeks before arriving to go fishing i was hoping to have a great day with son and 2 nephews. My son and i had been fishing before in Fiji with a different game boat fishing adventure with limited success.With corresponding emails i stated on more than on occasion that we would rather do bottom line fishing so at least everyone got there hands on a fishing line. The taxi was organized by the fishing charter company and was on time and provided great service from resort and back. Was told breakfast was provided as it was an early start, this never happened. Arrived at boat just after 7 than waited another 15 minutes for captain and crew to arrive. Boat was nice and clean, safety briefing was there is the toilet and we carry life jackets.Was told it would be about 40 minutes to get to fishing grounds.James the crew member rigged 5 rods for during this time for trailing during the travel and when we arrived at fishing grounds explained to us what was happening and what to look for(birds on the water) and set the 5 lines for trailing up and we proceeded to trail for the next 3 hours and 45 minutes without as much as a nibble or a flock of birds to guide us where to go. After this time James wound lines in and we cruised 40 minutes back to port. There was no mention of bottom line fishing or any equipment on board to do so. The crew was quite pleasant and knowledgeable and very good at what they do and did try very hard to do the best in the situation to catch fish.After bobbing around in the ocean for the best part of 4 hours (the 2 youngest being sick) and not being able to put your hands on a line I was disappointed that the charter we where on didn`t do what i had asked for. As a part time fisherman back in Aus i do understand that with fishing you are always in the lap of the gods and i dont hold any grudges with anyone, but as i said i was disappointed with what had happened as it was the nephews 1st time fishing out of Aus and wanted a better experience for them. I have recommended this charter but more care in communication when booking is needed.

I am extremely happy with the trip and Captain Bob! Even though I am the only one not smiling in the group photo, but you’ll see why when you take a look at it!

Overall disappointing.

Well setup boat with good crew but sadly as we know the fish refused to play ball.
