We have gone on many charters all over the country, and Captain Frenchy is one of the best.  He will get you on the fish no matter what the conditions are.  He is fun, knows his craft, and is just an all around good person.  If you are looking to catch some fish in NOLA, stop reading reviews and book Captain Frenchy.  You won’t be disappointed!  We had a blast!

It was a pleasure to spend the day with Captain Frenchy. While other boats were racing around trying to find fish, Captain Frenchy was setting me up and helping me Reds, Speckled Trout, and the largest Sheepshead I could imagine catching.  His knowledge of the area and passion for fishing made for an exciting day. His boat and equipment were top notch and he went to all efforts to ensure I caught a variety of fish when no other boats could. Will definitely come back and book Captain Frenchy again!

Despite suboptimal fishing conditions my 9 year old son and I had a fantastic time with Captain Frenchy. In fact, my son said it was a “10 out of 10” and that he was “super funny and super fun”. We caught numerous different species of fish (all small), lost a few more due to our ineptitude, and saw numerous small alligators on the way back. Captain Frenchy was very helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. We absolutely plan to return to another trip with him and would recommend to others.

Let me start by saying Capt Frenchy is an outstanding guide.  We booked a half day trip for my grand daughter, daughter and I.  The night before we had a ton of rain and wind.  While other boats were struggling we caught 60 sea trout.  Beyond the fishing he is a wealth of knowledge and a true professional.  He treated my 8 year old grand daughter like family.  Just a great day.  Thank you!! See you next year we we are back in NOLA.

  My wife and I had an amazing experience on Oct. 7, 2024 chartering a half-day excursion into the Gulf with Captain Frenchy. The Captain placed our comfort as paramount and followed all protocol for a safe adventure.

  We are used to fishing freshwater lakes in Colorado, so this was a new experience for us. Captain Frenchy instructed us on a unique (to me) angling method consisting of Live Shrimp for bait under a popping cork. It worked well!

  He has an amazing ability to read the water and know where the fish were. I can only conclude this talent was developed after many years of experience.

  Our prize catch was a Sheepshead- the teeth on that thing were amazing! We hooked a few Redfish and caught numerous Speckled Trout as well. The option of having them cleaned and fileted and transported a restaurant for preparation exists. We opted for catch and release.

  The Captain’s easy manner and amiability were impressive. All of our needs were satisfied and he went way beyond our expectations. Anyone looking for a positive experience fishing the Gulf should consider booking a trip.
