My husband and I came to New Orleans and decided to try a fishing charter, I can’t explain to you how grateful we are that we booked captain frenchy; he was a great experience.
He is so knowledgeable about fishing and can tell you down to the second the fish is going to bite your line, it truly his passion. Other boats that day were not getting bite, how ever we came home with a whole cooler full of fish and a of large variety: black drummers, red fish, spotted trout, white trout, croaker, and sheep’s head. He taught us different techniques that we can take with us to apply when fishing alone. He’s happy to help and if you are struggling with one technique he will teach you another way to help you learn. I would 100% recommend frenchy and 100% book this charter again. Pleasantly surprised with this trip. Passing through LA, and just grabbed something convenient. Launch was not far off I-10. Captain was on time & ready. He knew the place very well & is an expert at reading the water and getting on the fish right away. Tough bite in the middle of the summer, but he kept working to get us on a good box of fish. Capt. Frenchy is an acrobat with the boat & he won’t rest until he gets you on em. Great teacher & patient with kids too. Taught me a recipe for the sheepshead that is incredible. Boat and equipment is excellent. Full first class service / great value.

This trip was something my 18 year old chose to do for his HS graduation. We both have fished but definitely not expert anglers. while we had rainstorms try to squash our trip, Captain Frenchy AKA, fish whisperer knew how much this trip meant for my son. Captain Frenchy took us out after the storm passed and coached and 1:1 worked with my son on techniques and best practices ... between a few bull sharks pups ( put back) black drum, catfish..
We came back with 5 beautiful red fish!
Best father son trip..life time memories!

The best things about Captain Frenchy:
1. Improvement - he made me a better fisherman.  Not only was a great guide, he gave me tips on how to find fish, catch fish, and even how to cook them!
2. Persistent - he did not give up.  He kept searching different spots to find fish.  He knows were the fish are and fish end up on our hooks.
3. Ease – he provides everything – live bait, poles, drinks – we literally got on the boat with shirts on our backs and hats on our heads.
4. Passionate - he LOVES fishing, it literally courses through his veins, and it is infectious.
Not only would I recommend Captain Frenchy, I already have.

This guy is awesome! We felt like the entire experience was personal it was definitely not just another day for him, he works super hard to make your experience the best it can be. And honestly even if he didn’t put us on a cooler full of fish (on a really tough day at that) it’s a blast just listening to his stories and all the different stuff he’s done in his life is worth the experience alone. Ask him about his cooking show ... But seriously look at the other reviews he works his butt off and is 100% passionate about what he does and it shows. I’ve been on plenty of fishing trips where I was just a number… I feel like I made a friend with this one. Will definitely be back
