You fished with us during King Spring (high)Tides and not only did you catch plenty of fish you caught some Trophy fish as well as a good mess to take home including a flounder as these pictures show…..!!! We have fished 3 people in that boat and never had a complaint.  Again,  we expected a great review from and we are extremely surprised at this response and we do not agree with your review…...  Captain Jay Cranford…. Please let me start off by saying I’m sorry you had a bad trip. With that being said after speaking to the Captain I understand why you had a bad trip.
If you remember correctly when you were on the dock the Captain had “never taken his boat off the trailer.” A storm was brewing and it was raining at that time inshore and offshore. Captain James explained to you that there was no way that you were going to be going on an offshore fishing trip that day. Captain James specialty is offshore fishing but he did offer to take you inshore so you would not have a wasted day. That was the moment that you had an opportunity to cancel your trip. You were excited that he made this offer so he took his boat off the trailer and went and got live shrimp for bait. There are a combination of things that has to happen to have a successful fishing trip and one of them is good weather whether it be offshore or inshore. Unfortunately the day that you booked your trip we also had very high tides. High tides and bad weather cause inland waters to be extremely muddy and with a combination of the winds the fish do not bite well so it will be a very slow day. When you booked your trip the description of the boat plainly says we do not have a head on board.
Some of our clients are more familiar with spinning reels than other types and I understand sometimes it takes a little time to get used to that type reel. After the reel malfunction Captain James quickly got your husband another one and had no further issues with his equipment.  It rained off and on all day long and it was a very wet miserable day for not only you but the Captain.
After looking at this with hindsight he may have should have just offered for you to not go that day and keep your money because of the weather, tides, etc and gave you the opportunity to make that decision. It was a bad day to fish there’s no excuses other than it was simply a bad day to go fishing weather wise and situation wise, inshore or offshore.
We take pride in all of our customers success and we instill in our Captains to do the best job possible to put clients on fish. Believe me, no Captain likes to come back to the dock without any fish. We also take pride in all of our reviews and have a near 5 star rating. I realize that you are not happy and you spent hard-earned money on a fishing trip that should not have been taken. There’s no one person to blame.  Not you nor the Captain. I wish it had a worked out better but it didn’t.
Captain James has agreed to take your party back out on an offshore trip, at his expense, as long as the weather cooperates, on the day of your choosing if he is available.
If this is something you would like for us to do for you you have my phone number.  Feel free to reach out to me and we will make it happen, but again, it will need to be on a good day to go offshore.  I’m sorry again that you had a bad trip. I hope this resolution is acceptable.
