November nearshore fishing is hot right now. There is still plenty of bait to be found along the flats and around the ICW markers. The bonito and mackerel are thick along the hard bottom just off the beach up to 9 miles out. Just look for the birds and you are sure to find them. The bait of choice is either a spoon or something small with a lot of flash. The water temp is still a bit high near shore for the big kings, but they are there if you look. The bottom bite is fantastic and the red grouper and gag grouper are showing up in good numbers. The season is closed for both but the are a great catch. There are plenty of grunt,triggerfish,and mangrove snapper along the reef edges. No sign of red tide out at 8 miles off of Pinellas county out of Clearwater. Let's get out there and catch some fish. Book your trip today. We are filling up fast.

Nearshore fishing Has been great despite the fact that Mother Nature is not cooperating. The nearshore reef and wrecks have been holding decent numbers of Mangrove Snapper and the occasional Red and Gag Grouper along with Grunt and a few other species of fish. The Snook, Redfish and Trout bite has been good inshore. Look for these fish along the jetties and just off of the beaches. Make sure to have plenty of live shrimp and live bait. October is here and so are the schools of Mackeral just off of the beaches. The King fish should be close behind the schools of Mackeral so be sure to keep a flat line out while either anchored or drift fishing. Finding schools of Mackeral is as easy as looking for the birds. Once you find them, the fish should be nearby. Make sure to book your trip soon. Also, if you are out on the water, be sure to keep an eye out for floating debris from the storm. Tight lines and we will see you soon.

The nearshore bite has been fanastic in April. The nearshore reefs and wrecks have been producing big Mangrove Snapper, Red Grouper,Sea Bass, grey Triggerfishand plenty of Grunt. The Spanish and King Mackerel are definitely here and should be here for a few more weeks. We look for diving birds and bait pods for these fish and either slow troll or anchor and chum them in. There have been a few shark that have showde up in our chum along with a few cobia. The 4 and 6 hours have been producing good numbers of the above species. May should be just as good. Book soon and you will have a chance at these awesome fighting fish. The Tarpon will be showing up in the bridge passes and along the beaches abd should make an awesone memory should you be lucky enough to battle one of these impressive fish. The mangrove snapper bite is off the chain in July so far. We have been seeing good numbers in about 40 feet. There are also plenty of good sized grunt to go with them. There were a few red grouper that were released to fight another day. Book soon and we will can get you on a few of these for the table.

July is certainly heating up for both weather and fishing. We have been seeing good numbers of fish on the nearshore reefs and wrecks out of Clearwater. There have been consistant numbers of Grunt, Grey Trigger (closed season June1st-July31st),Black Sea Bass, Lane Snapper(smaller),Mangrove Snapper and the suprise of a few keeper Hog Fish. There are a few schools of Bonita feeding on the bait schools around the wrecks out to 40 Ft. Tarpon are still here but the initial run is past. When the Tarpon are thick,the sharks seem to be following for an easy dinner. Red grouper(closed July1st 2024-December31st 2024) are still a possibility but season is closed for them as well as Gag Grouper October 19th 2023-August 31,2024). We are seeing a lot of grouper being caught inside of 9 miles and are returned to fight another day. We were lucky enough to have a 2 shart hookup on a 3 hour trip on Saturday 07/06/2024. Lots of pictures and video were taken for memories that will last a lifetime for the 15 year old angler that landed both! When we are out on the water therer has been a few sitings of big sharks feeding on bait pods that make a great photo opportunity or if you are fast enough to get a video, even better. This month has been great for the near shore(inside 9 miles) fishing. There has been plenty of action with Mangrove Snapper,Grunt,Triggerfish and the occasional hog fish that crash the party. The weather is super hot and the fish seem to be fired up. Black Sea Bass are an occasional catch along with Lane and Yellowtail Snapper. The last two seem to be found in 40 feet or more. Cobia are always a possibility on some of the nearshore reefs and wrecks. We have had great success with light chumming and a flat line out while we bottom fish. You never know what may show up. Book a trip soon so you don't miss all the action.
